Why not make an investment in your future and your company's success by participating in the accredited Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate Program (HMCC)?

Every healthcare meeting professional must balance the need for effective meeting management with unprecedented changes and demands in the arena of global healthcare compliance. Planners must tackle tough regulations, adjust and readjust priorities, while keeping one eye on short-term and the other on long-term survival – a tough job unless a continuous flow of knowledge is available to guide the effort.

The HMCC provides a foundation in key healthcare disciplines in a condensed format. It's designed for planners and suppliers who need a broader understanding of a full range of regulatory topics. This program, taught by professionals and faculty members who are trained to provide a competency foundation and critical thinking skills, is presented through case studies, business simulation, discussion, and active exercises.

This intensive four-hour educational and training course provides healthcare meeting compliance stakeholders with the knowledge and experience they need to successfully navigate the increasingly complex pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device regulatory environment.

Participants will:

  • Enhance healthcare compliance management skills
  • Recognize unique terminologies
  • Process reporting management with samples
  • Understand transfers of values
  • Learn the who, what, where and how of the Open Payments Act, European Disclosure Code, and other global regulations
  • Gain sales and marketing tips

The benefits of completing this certification course include:

  • Getting up to speed on healthcare meeting compliance regulations in just four hours to gain certification that is valid for two years.
  • Receive your Certificate without testing or pass/fail restrictions because the focus is on educating meeting planning professionals.
  • Validation of your knowledge with a Certificate that is endorsed by Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
  • Increasing credibility with clients and tapping into new employment opportunities.

Pat Schaumann's book Breaking the Code to Healthcare Compliance may be purchased here.

Learner Outcomes

  • Expand and enhance meeting and healthcare professionals' areas of expertise.
  • Discover new updates and developments in healthcare compliance regulations and laws.
  • Earn accredited credentials to advance your career.

Room 201

Jessie States, Manager of Professional Development, Meeting Professionals International

MPI research shows that attendees don't want to learn in a conference room that looks exactly the same as every other conference room in dozens of cities around the world. Meeting attendees want to know why they are in a certain location at a certain place in time. By incorporating the destination in as many ways as you can, you share that with them.

This certificate program incorporates best-practice case studies to help planners, venues and destinations leverage a sense of place and create more effective meetings and events. As part of this interactive program, participants will build their own roadmap for "going local."

This will include creating an environment that reflects the destination, selecting local food and beverage, incorporating traditional and evolving expressions of culture, giving back to the community and connecting with local thought leaders to strengthen meeting quality and the local meeting industry.

Explore how to overcome some of the challenges of going local, including creating authentic experiences, addressing supply chain issues and educating participants, and discuss how to identify local thought leaders who can bring local expertise to program content and be a catalyst for the development of future meetings and events.

Learner Outcomes

  • Using case studies, learn how showcase local attributes to create a sense of place and attract and engage participants.
  • Customize a "Going Local" Roadmap for your events and destinations.
  • Discover how to identify local thought leaders as prospective meeting hosts and expert content providers.
